Tasteful conversion of the main hall of the vast Victorian Royal Baths complex retaining many original features, with Harrogate Turkish Baths next door. On entering from the Parliament Street entrance, there is a lounge area with stone-arched side alcoves. A sweeping Hollywood-style bifurcated stone staircase carries you down to the spacious high-ceilinged bar area below. There is also a separate function room and an exterior courtyard drinking area. The pub serves the usual Wetherspoon core range of beers, plus numerous locally sourced guests are dispensed across three sets of handpumps. Big sports events such as the Six Nations and World Cup are shown on TV screens and a large drop-down projection screen. The pub can get busy due to its location near Harrogate’s conference and exhibition centre.
