Mike FarrarBradfordMick had been a real stalwart of the Branch, holding a number of posts, including 2 stints as Chairman. In addition to this he was Festival organiser for fifteen years, as well as being part of a team at GBBF that was known to many as ‘Hostility’. Mick was also part of the better known Site Team over many years.
David BoothroydBradfordDavid Boothroyd had 3 separate stints as Chairman of Bradford Branch for a total of 12 years and held other posts, including membership secretary in the early days. A huge part of his commitment to CAMRA has been as editor of Tyke Taverner from 1998 to date and before that from 1976 to 1984, 30 years of painstaking effort, organisation and humour to produce a hugely popular, entertaining magazine that finds its way to pubs up and down the country. He's been actively involved with every Bradford Beer Festival since 1976, more recently as assistant treasurer having being treasurer himself some years ago. He's been heavily involved in organising Bradford Branch's Real Ale Holiday since 1977, he was on the organizing committee for 1982 national AGM in Bradford, the first to actually make a profit. He led a successful campaign to retain autovacs in Bradford in 1984 which, had the local authority managed to ban may well have meant the end of Real Ale in Bradford. In the 80's and 90's he edited 4 of 6 Bradford Real Ale Guides, wrote weekly articles for the T&A and later pub of the week and beer of the week features.
